NEXUS-IBA and its stations

A brief note about some interesting and bizarre radio stations

NEXUS-IBA is a non profit Association which has elected to do something different in the world of broadcasting. Our stations are built on the premise that profits are not the be-all and end-all of transmission. We all operate as a volunteer-cooperative -- with less than 15 persons giving their spare time to keep us alive.

They do this largely because we are a free radio station, with no political or religious ties, because of our programming and the free access policies of our operation. Since 1979, when all this was started, anyone with anything of sense has been able to access the microphones of our stations. We consider this one of the very few experiments of free access to the information media in this part of the world.

We are now on Shortwave, FM, and on the Internet. Needless to say that all this is very expensive either financially and in terms of our personal involvement as volunteers. We have no advertising on our stations, and no sponsors except our volunteers, our members and our listeners.

We ask you therefore that you support us by subscribing to NEXUS-IBA, so that we can survive. With your subscription, you will receive up-to-date information on the new projects and activities, and, as well, our love and our affection. Thank You.
